Design docs? What design docs?

I just got out of a meeting with some people I think will never believe that the source code is the design. We're going to have to generate some annoyingly pointless documents to make them happy, since our high-level design isn't specific enough, and they can't/won't read the nicely commented code.

It's like I'm a hamster on a wheel!

I spent all afternoon working on code that I had to throw out. I have nothing to show for myself today. It's a bit disheartening.

Oh well, now I get to go to a "aren't we clever?" back-patting reception for my center here at work. Yay, free food! (Can you tell I'm not that far removed from college?)

No Gmail for me

A while back I had an opportunity to get Gmail in my Blogger Dashboard, but I didn't get around to clicking on it (what with the wedding going on an all) and now it's gone. :( Alas!

I need a yarn fix

I've been working on a shawl at home and socks at work, but I am starting to feel the need to go down to Village Wools to buy something new.

How had I missed the tasty goodness of Nutella for so long? Now I think I can understand why so many people go nuts over it.

My husband and I bought ourselves a baking stone recently. We tried it out last night on some homemade pizza. The resulting product was delightfully crisp. I may never use a pizza pan again.

My officemate got his security clearance this week, six months after submitting his paperwork. I've been waiting just over a year for mine. Surely my life is at least as boring as his! We're starting to suspect that something has been misplaced in the depths of the bureaucracy. *sigh*
