After having to reset my clocks last month so I now drive home in sudden darkness, I am once again reminded how much DST annoys me. I am originally from Indiana, so I wasn't subjected to this nonsense for most of my life. I think I have a better grasp of time zones and Daylight Saving Time than my husband does, since he has always just blindly gone along with it, whereas I have had to pay attention to keep track of how many hours off my out of state friends were in different seasons.
There is at least one group on the web that wants to end Daylight Saving Time. I'm in favor of it, although I know that it is unlikely to ever happen.
Daylight Savings Time doesn't save any daylight, it just shifts the clocks! If you want more light in the evening, wake up earlier! Duh! Are we such slaves to timepieces that we can't change our schedules without an act of Congress? How sad is that!
